Los profesores de ingl\u00e9s siempre realizan preguntas para animarte a conversar, pero ahora te proponemos que se inviertan los roles. Por eso, en este art\u00edculo queremos dejarte una gu\u00eda para que sepas c\u00f3mo se forman las preguntas en ingl\u00e9s.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Closed questions or \u201cYes\/No questions\u201d<\/span>
\nPreguntas cerradas<\/h2>\n

Se denomina preguntas cerradas a aquellas que requieren una respuesta corta como: “yes” o “no”. Estas preguntas se forman con un verbo, que puede ser incluso auxiliar (“do”, “be” o “have got”).<\/p>\n

1. Con los verbos “to be” y “have got”:<\/h2>\n
Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n

Verbo + Sujeto + Sustantivo, adjetivo + ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ejemplos<\/p>\n

Have you got a pet? \/ \u00bfTienes mascota?
\nYes, I have. \/ S\u00ed, tengo.
\nNo, I haven\u00b4t. \/ No, no tengo.<\/p>\n

Is it your dog? \/ \u00bfEs tu perro?

Open questions or \u201cwh questions\u201d<\/span>
\nPreguntas abiertas<\/h2>\n

Son preguntas que requieren de una contestaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplia que un simple “yes” o “no”, ya que solicitan explicaci\u00f3n, descripci\u00f3n u opini\u00f3n. Se crean utilizando pronombres interrogativos o “question words”. Dentro de las preguntas abiertas, podemos distinguir entre preguntas del objeto y preguntas del sujeto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\nAlgunos verbos que en espa\u00f1ol no llevan preposici\u00f3n, en ingl\u00e9s S\u00cd deben utilizarse.<\/p>\n

Preguntas del sujeto y preguntas del objeto<\/h2>\n

La estructura para formar una pregunta var\u00eda si la respuesta requiere la menci\u00f3n del sujeto o del objeto de la acci\u00f3n. Veamos un ejemplo:<\/p>\n

John<\/span> sent the letter<\/span>. \/ John envi\u00f3 una carta.

Pregunta del sujeto:<\/strong>

Pregunta del objeto:<\/strong>
\nWhat did John send? A letter.
\n\u00bfQu\u00e9 envi\u00f3 John? Una carta.<\/p>\n

Subject Questions<\/span>
\nPreguntas del sujeto<\/h2>\n

En las preguntas del sujeto, no se utiliza un verbo auxiliar y el orden de las palabras no se invierte.<\/p>\n

En las preguntas del objeto la presencia del auxiliar es obligatoria (excepto cuando se trata del verbo TO BE).<\/p>\n
